Warranty Terms
The terms and conditions of our warranty service are as follows:

  1. Repair services will be provided for defects arising from normal usage for the following period, commencing from the date of the registration from our Authorised Dealer. (Part will be replaced when necessary)
       A. Mobile Phone / Digital Camera / Camcorder / MP3 Player / Playstation / PDA : 1 year from date of purchase.
       B. Labour Service Cost : 1 year
       C. Battery : 1 month
     
  2. The warranty services does not cover expandable item including :
       A. Handsfree 
       B. Charger 
       C. Bundled Memory Card
       D. Data Cable
       E. Display Screen (LCD)  
       F. Defect on Lenses  
       G. Blue tooth
       H. Network compatibility issues.
     
  3. Under the following circumstances, service and parts will be chargeable even within warranty period if arises :
       A. Full particular are not shown or alterations made against the actual information for e.g. alteration of the date of registration or serial number.
       B. This unit being tampered with, altered in any way by any unauthorized technician or which has been subjected to misuse, negligence or accident. The warranty does not cover damage occurring in transit or operated contrary to instructions.
       C. The defect is caused by the attack of household pests, fire lighting, natural disaster, pollution, water, abnormal voltage or the usage of generator.
     
  4. This warranty shall not apply to wear and tear of parts such as antenna, keypad rubber, plastic cover, batteries and battery compartment cover.
     
  5.  At the time of return, pack equipment carefully against shock, insure parcel, enclosed Warranty Card and describe defects.
     
  6. This warranty excludes any liabilities which are not expressed above, such as forwarding expenses or travel.

* For products covered with international warranty, please send to your local service center for repair/replacement by presenting the warranty card to them (this warranty card will be sent together with your shipment).

* For products not covered with international warranty, please send to us by Fedex or other reliable shipping company (at your own cost) for our repair/replacement. Kindly note that buyer is solely liable for any shipment lost-in-transit if the appropriate shipment method was not used. Please allow up to 30 days for the product to be repaired or replaced.

The warranty covers the products that are purchased directly from Portagadgets.com

What are not covered by the warranty
Any product, which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.

Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:

  • Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
  • Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Portagadgets.com.
  • Any damage of the product due to shipment.
  • Removal or installation of the product.
  • Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure.
  • Use of supplies or parts not meeting the product's specifications.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Any other cause, which does not relate to a product defect.
  • Removal, installation and set-up service charges by any third party.

Dead on Arrival (DOA)

All products are also cover under Dead on Arrival terms. Dead on Arrival mean the products is not working even on the first time you tried to use it. Customers will be able to have the products exchange for a new set. Please report the defects within the first 24 hours after you have received the product. Otherwise, DOA will not apply.

False Claims

There are many occasion that false claims on warranty and returns have arises. This is mostly due to the fact that customers have not presented a true and honest facts on defects. If such cases arises, all customers are to bear all shipping and insurance cost of delivering the products back to the owner.

A technical support representative will determine if your problem is covered under this warranty agreement. If the problem is covered, you will be contacted with specific instructions regarding how the product must be returned for repair or replacement.
