habib555 - Decided to take the risk and buy a NZ$2,500 DSLR camera from Portagadgets. Got an email straight away confirming the order, then paid by bank transfer that night. Received an email the next day confirming that the order had been processed.
The following day received another email saying that the order had been shipped and a UPS tracking number was given. It took 12 hours for the parcel to appear in the UPS system.
Five days later the parcel was in the country, on the UPS website it stated that tax and duty needed to be paid on the parcel so gave them a call and paid that by bank transfer.
The camera arrived the next day in excellent condition, well packaged, and exactly as advertised.
I was very impressed with portagadgets efficiency and price.
Mel in Perth WA - At first I was skeptical about purchasing from this site, but due to the price and other good review I took the chance. It was well worth it, great customer support, used bank transfer no hassle with photo id etc required. They are out of stock with 16GB Samsung and throw a 8GB memory card as compensation. Shipping was amazingly fast - Friday they told me that they ship it and I got it Monday - no idea how they do that.
Milkyjoe - Actually a really good experience. On the positive side, the goods came quickly: five working days from order to arrival and prices were fantastic. Negatives are that the site doesn't make it clear the warehouse is overseas; the company asked me for photo id a day after I made the order and didn't make it clear why; and because the goods are from overseas they have the wrong plugs - Portagages include a travel adapter in the box to get over this but the downside is that the boxes are not sealed when they arrive.
iamoca - Not bad for my first experienced buying something online. although I felt a bit unsure at first. I ordered lumix fx28 on Saturday night and I received my camera on Wednesday noon! This just terrific! however your online ticket system didn't as good as i expected nobody replied my issue when time already pass 24 hours. anyway overall performance was just good.

Vamp - Like most people I am a little uncertain when purchaising things online overseas, even from shops! However I took a chance on these guys & it paid off. I got exactly what I asked for in the time suggested for a great price & I am extremely happy with the purchase & will be going back. The courier service they use is Fedex & the security & service is mind blowingly great! 5 stars all round!
