Jap/Eng

The camera is a Japan version which caters Japanese and English language for the interface and user manual. User manual may come with photocopied or soft copy. Customer can also download the English User Manual from the official site.


Euro/Eng

The camera is an Euro version. The languages for the interface and user manual are in European and English language. User manual may come with photocopied or soft copy. Customer can also download the English User Manual from the official site.


IXY / IXUS

Canon IXY Series Digital Camera - These Canon IXUS Digital Camera are sold in Japan Market as IXY Series with a different Model Numbers. They are exactly the same as the Canon IXUS Series (sold outside Japan) you are buying and it is cheaper. It comes with English and Japanese languages in their interface such as menu. The English user manual may be copied for customers usage.

12 Months International Warranty

12 Months International Warranty refers to the products that come with 12 month international warranty repair service, if you ordered such products, you can bring the international warranty products to any local service centre for warranty claims and servicing. NTSC and PAL Video Formats

The difference between PAL and NTSC is in terms of image resolution and frame rates. NTSC records at 29.97 fps while PAL records video at 25 fps. The standard sample size for NTSC is 720x480 while PAL mode has a resolution of 720x576.

For precisely the above reasons, you won't see any camcorders that can record in both NTSC and PAL formats . Most digital camcorders available in the US or Japan are NTSC compatible while PAL system is the video standard for video cameras in Europe, Australia and Asia (including India).
